The ‘Governor’ is Gone
This morning I noticed this written on the back of a van: "This vehicle is limited to 56 mph." A piece of equipment called a ‘governor' is installed on the vehicle to limit its speed. No matter what the engine capacity is, the vehicle will never go beyond the speed set by the governor.
As I drove on, I sensed the Lord saying that he wants to remove the governor' from His peoples' lives. False restrictions and limitations have been placed upon us and they're stopping us from fulfilling our full potential in Christ. These governors limit our finances, our relationships, our leadership, our careers, even our walk with God.
Sometimes we have placed governors' on ourselves by our negative mindsets, bad experiences or past failures. Sometimes it's just our upbringing and family history. We have inherited mindsets which inhibit and contain us. However, often others have placed governors' on us by their critical words and actions.
God is uninstalling the governors' from us that we might press into our full capacity and live out of the fullness of who we were created to be. Limitations are being removed, false restrictions are being lifted.
