Weary and Waiting

In recent days, over many of God’s people, there has been a weariness both physically and emotionally. Your body feels tired, your emotions are on edge, discouragement is never far away. You feel like you should be so much further on by now, your life should look different, but it doesn’t seem to be happening and things are moving much too slowly. The Bible says do not grow weary in doing good for the proper time you will reap a reward. I believe the Lord wants to remind you that he always keeps his promises and that He has a reward waiting for you. You are so much closer than you think you are. Don’t allow your weariness to lead you into making wrong or hasty decisions. Don’t let your disappointment to determine your direction.  Don’t dwell on discouragement but intentionally focus your words and thoughts on gratitude and worship. Even financially, don’t allow recent setbacks to keep you from expressing joyful generosity. Push through in prayer until you prevail; worship until the heaviness lifts; daily declare His good promises over your life.  The warfare around your life is seasonal but the favor of God is permanent.
