Turnaround God
In John 11, when Jesus hears that Lazarus is sick, he declares, “This will not end in death.” Yet just a few verses later he says, “Lazarus is dead.” Which one was true? Both were. He was really dead but it wasn’t the end. Because when Jesus, who is the Resurrection and the Life shows up on the scene, death never has the final word. There are situations in your life today that look dead, relationships that seem irreparable, marriages that appear irreconcilable, finances that seem finished, test results that sound conclusive, sickness which seems to have no cure. It looks hopeless - like there is no possibility of a turnaround or anything ever changing. Yet nothing is ever over until Jesus says it’s over. He always has the final word. In Jesus Christ there is always hope, always possibility, always potential, always resurrection power. He is Life, and so when He speaks, death has to flee. Darkness has to leave. Hurts have to be healed. He is our turnaround God. Today, take heart, no matter how dead or desperate or discouraging things may appear - nothing is ever over until God says it’s over.

John 11:3-4; 14; 25-26; 43-44
“So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.” When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. …then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead”....
...Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”...
.... When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
