The enemy will always seek to destroy or abort the work of God in you and through you at its earliest stages, while it is still small and developing.The simple reason is that it is easier to kill or remove a small enemy than a large one.

At the time of Moses’ birth, Pharaoh tried to kill all male babies. Herod did the same at the birth of Jesus. He couldn’t risk them growing in power or becoming a potential rival.

The greatest opposition and resistance often happens the beginning of a new venture, at the initiation of a change in your life, at the birth of a ministry. Satan knows the threat it poses if it gets going and grows, so he focuses his attention on destroying it while it is still in infancy.

Don’t be surprised at the difficulties you are facing with your small, emerging dream, vision, ministry, project, transformation, relationship, business. In fact, be encouraged. The enemy knows that he has to get rid of it now because, given time, it will grow and flourish into something that causes all of hell to tremble.
