When Your Dream Looks Dead

There will be moments in your life will it seems like your dream is dead. When the promises of God are so far removed from your current reality that you begin to wonder, “Did God really say...?” or even, “Does God really care?”

This must have been how Joseph felt when he was languishing in prison as an innocent man. David probably felt like this when he spent years on the run as a fugitive from Saul. Even Jesus cried out in the depth of his intense isolation and pain, “God, why have you forsaken me?”

That darkest hour when the pain doesn’t seem to be going away, when you feel so alone, when you have had enough.... that’s when you need to cling to what you know about God... His nature, character, goodness, faithfulness, power, love. He cares so deeply and intimately about you - your future, your family, your finances, your health, your relationships. His promises will prevail.  His Word will move mountains.  His power will bring breakthrough. The dream looks dead but our God is known for resurrection!
