I believe God wants to remind His people at this time that He is ‘Jehovah Jireh’, our provider and He is a God of abundance. His desire is never for his people to live in live in poverty. Nowhere in the Bible do we ever read: “God blessed them and they were poor.“ No! It always reads: “God bless them and they prospered.“
While selfish greed and wasteful indulgence are certainly sin, money and wealth are a gift from God to be used for His Kingdom and for His glory here on the Earth. Our God is the God of overflow and more than enough. He wants to meet your needs and give you extra to meet the needs of others. He wants His people to be radically generous that you would be a channel or a conduit of His blessing to others. However, it’s difficult to be generous we are living in constant lack, debt and poverty.
Expect financial breakthrough, believe for provision today, break off any poverty mindset, declare God’s favour over your life, speak God’s Word about blessing over your finances. Give sacrificially, live generously and expect to reap abundantly.
“Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands....The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors, if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”
“All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God.”
1 Timothy 6:10-11
“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.“
