Often what we think is our destination is actually our transportation. It is not the place where we are going to stay, but it is where we are being equipped and trained today - for all that God has purposed for our tomorrow. We can’t fast-track the journey but we can delay it by not fully immersing ourselves in what God is doing right now, in this place. Until we learn what we need to know here, and pass this test, we cannot proceed to the next level. That is why many people remain stuck, sometimes for years. They are unwilling to surrender to the present process because they’re so focused on their future.
Even if you don’t like where you are right now, seize it and squeeze out of it everything that God has placed in it. God has you here for a purpose, He never wastes time, so don’t squander His opportunities. They may not look like the vision that you have in your heart but they are the steps which must be climbed to get you to that stage.
There is no escalator or elevator in the kingdom. There are only steps and each one must be taken individually before you can progress to the next one. This is not your destination - it is your transportation.
“But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.”
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
