Reconfiguration and Reshaping

I sense that for many people their calling is being reconfigured and reshaped at this time. It’s not that the actual calling itself has changed - it’s just that the way it is lived out or how it is worked out and implemented is going to look different.

We need to get back to the very core of our original calling and strip away all those extraneous things that have been added over time that were never part of the Father’s desire or intention for us. They have, in many cases, become excess baggage which has brought unnecessary burden and diminished the joy of serving the Lord.

The core of the calling is who God made you to be in your soul, it’s your spiritual DNA - the rest has been put there through false expectations of yourself and from others.  Your true calling brings freedom and life.  The rest brings anxiety and exhaustion.

Get back to the heart of who you really are, press into your passion, strip away the excess, and recover the joy which comes from serving Jesus in the way that only you uniquely can.

Romans 11:29

“God's gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.”

Psalm 139:13-16

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Jeremiah 1:4-5

“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, [5] “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Galatians 5:1

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

1 John 5:3

“In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.”

Matthew 11:29-30

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Nehemiah 8:10

“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
