Don’t Miss the Signs

I was talking with a designer today about new signage/branding for the church I lead, when I felt the Lord continually impress the word ‘SIGN’.  This is a time when the Lord is giving His people unusual and significant signs to point the way into our future and to show us what He’s up to.  It’s happening now.  Many of these signs will confirm what you already sense.

These signs may be physical things that you see - a billboard, a news headline, a social media post.  But they will also unexpected interactions, unexplainable happenings, even signs in nature around you.

A sign always points to something beyond itself. So when your attention is drawn to something, or when something unusual happens, don’t get too fixated on the sign but ask yourself: ‘What is this sign pointing to, what is God trying to show me?’

God is longing to communicate with you and wants to signpost the way into the good future He has for you.  Keep your eyes open and your spirit sensitive.

Matthew 16:2-3

“He replied, “When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”

John 20:30

“Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.”

Acts 2:19

“I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.”

Isaiah 38:7

“This is the Lord's sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised...”

Isaiah 7:11

“Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.”
